Lets Throw a Pot!

What a wonderful Mothers Day gift! I couldnt believe it as Ive wanted to have a go at pot throwing for some years now. Having only used a potters wheel as a sixth form student many years ago, with out much success I hasten to add, I couldnt wait. The class was held at Swanspool Ceramics, Castle Ashby and I had great fun along with a small group of like minded people.
Once Id found the studio, a quick cup of tea and then we got started. I was suprised at how much strength I needed in my hands to prepare the clay and then mould it on the wheel. Id thoroughly recomend it and had a brilliant time.
Woohoo, my pots didnt break in the Kiln!
